Dr. Abdullah Barakat is a registered HPCZ Cardiologist and serves as the Chief Medical Officer at the International Hospital of Zambia. He earned his MBBCH from Suez Canal University in Egypt and holds a Master’s Degree in Cardiology from Menofya University, also in Egypt. Dr. Barakat has garnered experience as a General Practitioner and as a Cardiology Resident with the Ministry of Health in Egypt. Additionally, he held the position of Senior ICU Resident at KKH Najran within the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, specialising in Cardiology. He also served as a Senior CCU Resident at Berket El Sabaa General Hospital in Egypt.
Prior to his appointment at the International Hospital of Zambia, Dr. Barakat held the positions of Medical Director and Cardiologist at Medi-Care International Limited, as well as Cardiology Specialist at Prof. Dr. Sameh Allam Specialised Cardiac Centre in Egypt.
