The International Hospital of Zambia (IHZ) joined the Zambian and Chinese communities in celebrating the 2026 Zambia Chinese Spring Festival Temple Fair, held at Levy Mall in Lusaka.
In the spirit of unity and community support, IHZ provided free healthcare services to attendees. This initiative underscores the hospital’s ongoing commitment to promoting health and well-being across all communities in Zambia.
Held on 8 February 2026, the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month, the Temple Fair transformed Levy Mall into a vibrant hub of cultural exchange. The Chinese Embassy in Zambia and Zambia’s Ministry of Tourism co-hosted the fair, marking a lively celebration of the upcoming Year of the Horse. The event attracted a significant number of Zambian and Chinese attendees, including Her Honour Mutale Nalumango, Vice President of Zambia; Mr. Wang Sheng, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy; Mr. Huang Yaochi, Executive President of the ZCA and Group Chief Executive Officer of the Wonderful Group of Companies; government ministers; and members of the diplomatic corps.
In addition to cultural performances and festivities, the fair served as a vital platform for people-to-people exchanges, aligning with the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges. IHZ was honoured to contribute to this occasion by ensuring the community’s health and safety, allowing everyone to enjoy the celebrations with peace of mind.
By offering these complimentary services, IHZ reaffirms its dedication to being a trusted healthcare partner for all communities in Zambia, fostering goodwill and strengthening the bonds of friendship celebrated at the event.
Through its participation, IHZ proudly highlighted the strong ties between the people of Zambia and China. The hospital remains committed to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare and to contributing to the nation’s shared prosperity and well-being.
