{"id":1762,"date":"2026-05-23T07:09:40","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T07:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/internationalhospitalzm.com\/?p=1762"},"modified":"2026-05-23T07:09:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T07:09:40","slug":"ihz-announces-18-salary-increment-and-recognises-best-performers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/internationalhospitalzm.com\/zh\/ihz-announces-18-salary-increment-and-recognises-best-performers\/","title":{"rendered":"IHZ ANNOUNCES 18% SALARY INCREMENT AND RECOGNISES BEST PERFORMERS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>23 April 2026, Lusaka<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The International Hospital of Zambia (IHZ) has announced an average\u00a018% salary increment\u00a0for all non-management employees, with increases ranging from 10% to 100%, effective\u00a01 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a staff engagement and recognition event held at the hospital, IHZ Board Chairman Shashank Mehta stated that the salary increment was aimed at enhancing staff morale, and ensure IHZ offer competitive compensation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are unhappy, then our patients will be unhappy,\u201d Mr. Mehta said as he addressed employees during the function.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Mehta emphasised that employees are the backbone of the hospital\u2019s operations and that management is committed to ensuring staff members feel appreciated, valued, and motivated in their roles.<\/p>\n<p>At the same event, Mr. Mehta also recognised the\u00a0IHZ Best Performing Employees for Q1, 2026\u00a0in a special pre-Labour Day recognition ceremony. The awardees are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best Performing Nurse\u00a0\u2013 Ms. Yvette Chulu<\/li>\n<li>Best Performing Maintenance Staff\u00a0\u2013 Mr. Zhang Feng Gang<\/li>\n<li>Best Performing Receptionist\u00a0\u2013 Ms. Vivian Mutambala<\/li>\n<li>Best Performing Gardener\u00a0\u2013 Mr. Michael Mwape<\/li>\n<li>Best Performing Launderer\u00a0\u2013 Ms. Donna Banda<\/li>\n<li>Best Performing Cleaner\u00a0\u2013 Mr. George Mwila<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each of the best-performing employees received a\u00a0One Thousand Kwacha (ZMW1,000) Shoprite Shopping Voucher.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Mehta further announced that the staff recognition awards will become a regular initiative at the hospital. He added that the awards are intended not only to recognise excellence and reward merit but also to inspire and motivate other employees to continue providing exceptional service to patients and the institution.<\/p>\n<p>The International Hospital of Zambia continues to strengthen its commitment to building a motivated workforce as part of its broader vision to provide high-quality healthcare
